Construction Superintendent - Ground Up Restaurant Construction

Description

The Project Manager will lead all phases of assigned construction projects, serving as the main point of contact for clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal leadership. You will be responsible for driving project execution from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, safety standards, and quality expectations.

• Conduct jobsite visits, coordination meetings, and progress reviews with field leadership.
• Ensure safety compliance and consistent quality control across all job sites.
• Serve as the primary liaison between owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications.
• Maintain clear project documentation and deliver timely status reports to internal management and clients.
• Lead project buyout, negotiate subcontractor agreements, and manage scopes of work.
• Manage full project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and closeout.
• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules, anticipating impacts and adjusting accordingly.
• Foster strong relationships through responsive communication and reliable project delivery.
• Oversee ground-up restaurant projects and additional commercial builds across Houston and surrounding areas.

A reputable, tight-knit Commercial General Contractor in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up restaurant projects and a variety of other commercial new-build work. • Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, trade coordination, and site logistics.
• Proficiency with construction management tools (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Additional background in other commercial ground-up or site development projects is a plus.
• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing ground-up restaurant projects strongly preferred.
• Must be based in—or willing to commute daily to—the Greater Houston area.
