Manage delivery of water/waste projects, overseeing teams, finance, H&S.

Tasks
-Align to the client’s direction and needs, interpret contract commitments and to manage stakeholder expectations -Manage people, resources and relationships to ensure effective delivery of programmes and projects -Make sound, evidence-based decisions, assessing risks and identifying opportunity -Ensure that the proper interpretation of the design briefs are established and the delivered solutions meet and exceed the expectations of internal and external stakeholders -Promote strong H&S behaviours -Responsible for ensuring the key deliverables within each stage of the project and programme are being administered to the highest quality -Ensure compliance to Internal and client system & procedures -Influence the operational delivery structure to drive outstanding performance -Provide a vision and define clear team roles, responsibilities and objectives whilst providing a hands-on approach to supporting the Project Team -Encourage commercial challenge at all times -Develop of strong team working relationships -Accountable for all activities of project & programme delivery, ensuring that health & safety, programme, design, procurement, financial control and site activities are managed to the highest standards throughout the project lifecycle -Supporting the designated individual in ensuring temporary works is followed -Lead our approach to collaborative planning to drive outperformance -Ensuring all projects adhere to Galliford Try’s high-quality standards and instilling a right first-time approach -Build trust with customers and stakeholders, keeping them updated on progress and acting upon feedback

What You Bring
-Able to work in a busy environment under pressure -Possess a “can do” attitude and provide to support to other members of the team as required -Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders. Demonstrating strong ethical standards with openness and honest. -H&S qualifications -Demonstrable experience of working within the waste and / or water industries -An industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng. or NVQ equivalent -Working knowledge of Microsoft packages -IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety & Health) or CITB (Construction Industry Training Body) 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)), -Excellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face) -CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card -Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate time management to comply with deadlines
