The Control Room Operator will oversee the safe and efficient operation of a combined‑heat‑and‑power (CHP) facility that includes three Solar Mercury 50 combustion turbines, three Rentech heat‑recovery steam generators, an auxiliary boiler, and related compressors and pumps.

Monitor and log plant control system and steam‑generating equipment readings, identify trends and variances.
Operate gas turbine control panels and perform water‑chemistry analysis to maintain specified limits.
Follow safety procedures, maintain control‑room and lockout/tagout logs, and report equipment issues beyond shift authority.
Conduct regular equipment inspections, perform minor maintenance, outage repairs, and equipment testing.
Support plant safety by correcting hazards, overseeing maintenance activities, and ensuring clean work areas.
Train and mentor new employees as needed.

Meet minimum qualifications: high school diploma/GED, 5 years control‑room experience, strong mechanical aptitude and basic turbine/steam knowledge, proficiency in English and basic mathematics, sound judgment, and obtain a DC Stationary Engineer’s License (1st/3rd Class) within one year of hire.
Preferred qualification: possession of a DC Stationary Engineer’s License (1st or 3rd Class).
