The Control Room Operator will oversee the safe and efficient operation of a combined‑heat‑and‑power (CHP) facility that includes three Solar Mercury 50 combustion turbines, three Rentech heat‑recovery steam generators, an auxiliary boiler, and related compressors and pumps.
- Monitor and log plant control system and steam‑generating equipment readings, identify trends and variances.
- Operate gas turbine control panels and perform water‑chemistry analysis to maintain specified limits.
- Follow safety procedures, maintain control‑room and lockout/tagout logs, and report equipment issues beyond shift authority.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections, perform minor maintenance, outage repairs, and equipment testing.
- Support plant safety by correcting hazards, overseeing maintenance activities, and ensuring clean work areas.
- Train and mentor new employees as needed.

- Meet minimum qualifications: high school diploma/GED, 5 years control‑room experience, strong mechanical aptitude and basic turbine/steam knowledge, proficiency in English and basic mathematics, sound judgment, and obtain a DC Stationary Engineer’s License (1st/3rd Class) within one year of hire.
- Preferred qualification: possession of a DC Stationary Engineer’s License (1st or 3rd Class).
