Assembly Group Lead Line 9-15 | San Antonio, Texas

Description

The role is essential for maintaining an optimum span of control and providing support, training and development to team members in multiple manufacturing areas. It is a full‑time, exempt position reporting to production leadership.

• Lead production team and oversee daily operations.
• Assemble and sub‑assemble backhoe loader components using hand and power tools.
• Operate overhead cranes, manipulators and other assembly equipment.
• Conduct daily safety and team meetings; fill in for absent staff.
• Provide training, feedback and development opportunities to team members.
• Continuously measure and improve safety, quality, efficiency and cost.
• Work flexible schedule, including 12‑hour shifts, 7 days a week, and lift/move up to 50 lb as needed.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling and standing for extended periods in hot, cold, dusty environments.

Requirements

The position requires a flexible schedule, including 12‑hour shifts and work seven days a week, and involves regular lifting of up to 10 lb, frequent lifting of up to 35 lb and occasional lifting of up to 50 lb, as well as repetitive physical activities such as bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling and standing for extended periods in hot, cold or dusty environments.

• Meet minimum qualifications: high school diploma, 2 years assembly experience, 1 year supervisory experience, forklift certification, pass drug/background checks.
• Preferred qualifications: associate degree in manufacturing, 3 years assembly experience, 4 years supervisory experience.
• Demonstrate effective communication, problem‑solving, detail‑orientation and ability to multitask under urgency.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and operate forklifts, pneumatic or hand tools.
