Senior Heavy Civil Estimator/Project Manager

Description

• Perform work in compliance with MSHA and H&K safety policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
• Analyze plans and specifications to determine schedule, budget, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Prepare and submit accurate estimates within deadlines.
• Solicit bids and negotiate contracts with subcontractors.
• Set up new job folders and prepare required documentation.
• Evaluate and price change orders.
• Direct and coordinate project personnel to keep projects on schedule and within budget, providing problem‑solving guidance.

Requirements

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Civil Estimator/Project Manager to support public and private projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region. The estimator will plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure goals are met within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, a team player, and a creative problem solver.

The work environment requires regular driving and may involve occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, with a moderate noise level and often more than 40 hours per week. Physical demands include regular sitting, using hands, talking or hearing, occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds, as well as the ability to use appropriate personal protective equipment and meet specific vision requirements.

• Meet required physical standards, including the ability to lift up to 10 lb and use appropriate PPE.
• Hold an associate’s degree (or equivalent) and at least five years of heavy‑civil construction experience; a bachelor’s degree, PE license, and ten years’ experience are preferred.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record and proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized project software.
