What you would be doing

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to uphold HMG cyber security policy and best practice.
  • Conduct ISO 27001 audits and ensure continued compliance with security frameworks.
  • Act as a Defence or OGD Information Technology Security Officer (DITSO), providing expert advice and assurance to programmes.
  • Support and maintain information assurance across Defence and OGD (Other Government Department) environments.
  • Operate within a Warning, Advice & Reporting Point (WARP) capacity to support the monitoring and communication of security issues.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to maintain awareness of emerging threats and standards.

  • ISO 27001 auditor experience.
  • Broad knowledge of HMG Cyber Security and Assurance policy and guidance.
  • Familiarity with NCSC best practice and guidance.
  • Proven experience in Defence or Government cyber security assurance roles (DITSO/WARP).
  • SC Clearance (active).
  • Experience working with CCF, CAF, and NIST frameworks.
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm for Information and Cyber Security with a willingness to learn and travel when required.
