May set up and operate sheet-metal fabricating machines only and be designated Sheet-Metal-Fabricating-Machine Operator (any industry).
Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on work piece, using instruments, such as rule and compass, or by tracing from templates.
Positions and clamps stops, guides, and turntables.
Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto machine, using rule, square, shims, templates, hand tools, and built-in gauges.
Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
Adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors, such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed.
Positions work piece against stops and guides or aligns layout marks with dies or cutting blades manually or using hoist.

Prior work experience in machine operation in an industrial setting, with preference given to demonstrated experience using: Band Saw, 3/8 capacity CNC Metal Shear, brake press and CNC Plasma table.
Ability to safely operate a forklift.
Technical competence including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.
Ability and knowledge to rig properly and safely run an overhead-style crane.
Material handling equipment and experience.
