  • Work with Marketing/Sales to provide documentation for original designs or custom modifications of current products to meet weekly production schedules
  • Create engineering documentation, including SolidWorks, modeling, fabrication, and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards
  • Complete work assignments within a determined time frame and use judgment in deciding assignment goals
  • Review junior designers work and train other designers to perform their work
  • Manage mid-level design projects
  • Apply tolerances and use GD&T tools to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements
  • Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation

  • Advanced CAD proficiency, basic understanding of tolerances, materials, and manufacturing constraints
  • Demonstrate an understanding of legacy bill of material systems and product structuring logic
  • Gain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices, processes, and Daikin products
  • SolidWorks experience

  • Experience with machinery component design and/or HVAC products

  • Vocational or Technical Degree or Associate’s degree in Design/Drafting
  • Exhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills
