- Work with Marketing/Sales to provide documentation for original designs or custom modifications of current products to meet weekly production schedules
- Create engineering documentation, including SolidWorks, modeling, fabrication, and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards
- Complete work assignments within a determined time frame and use judgment in deciding assignment goals
- Review junior designers work and train other designers to perform their work
- Manage mid-level design projects
- Apply tolerances and use GD&T tools to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements
- Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation

- Advanced CAD proficiency, basic understanding of tolerances, materials, and manufacturing constraints
- Demonstrate an understanding of legacy bill of material systems and product structuring logic
- Gain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices, processes, and Daikin products
- SolidWorks experience

- Experience with machinery component design and/or HVAC products
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Vocational or Technical Degree or Associate’s degree in Design/Drafting
- Exhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills
- Vacation accrues on a monthly basis, unless applicable federal, state, and local law requires a faster accrual
