Senior Design Architect

Description

• Support marketing team with award submittals and understand school funding mechanisms
• Stay current on K‑12 trends and represent the firm at conferences as a subject‑matter expert
• Network with the community and develop professional relationships
• Lead K‑12 project design, planning, programming, and exterior expression with budget‑conscious foresight
• Produce reports, presentations, and communications for clients
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and construction partners to meet schedule milestones
• Conduct business development activities, including marketing and networking, to acquire and retain clients
• Engage clients in design planning, scope development, and innovative solution proposals
• Define project scope, budgets, and maintain ongoing client relationships
• Mentor and teach team members, fostering creativity and continuous improvement
• Provide priority and scheduling input, conduct quality‑control reviews, and act as K‑12 subject‑matter expert
• Contribute to department standards and procedures for K‑12 projects

Requirements

Join our team at TowerPinkster, a regional architecture, engineering, and interior design firm operating in Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. We are looking for a Senior Design Architect with K‑12 education design experience for our New Albany, Indiana office. The role focuses on collaborating with clients to develop programming and innovative design concepts while mentoring younger designers.

• Licensed architect with at least 10 years of experience and strong knowledge of constructability and material selection
• Proficient in Revit, Photoshop, InDesign, Word, Excel, and Google Suite; capable of hand sketching and 3D graphics
• Solid background in K‑12 project work; Indiana experience preferred
