In addition to New Mexico, previous experience that would lead to permitting in following states is preferable: CO, UT, AZ, NV, TX,
Knowledge of state and federal regulations, environmental review processes, and compliance requirements (e.g., Section 106 and State Register Act)
20 or more years' experience of progressive experience in architectural history of New Mexico and the surrounding region
Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, peer-reviewing, public speaking
Previous project experience working on federal (e.g., BLM, USFS, NPS) and state lands (e.g., NMSLO)
Excellent interpersonal and management skills
Regional experience that would allow for immediate permitting with the local offices of federal agencies (e.g. BLM, USFS, BIA, etc.)
