VDC Specialists create and maintain 3D electrical models that support project managers, field leaders, and trade partners, ensuring accurate layouts, coordinated teams, and constructible designs.
Success in this environment comes to those who are detail‑obsessed, curious and tech‑forward, collaborative with strong communication skills, and adaptable because every project is unique.
VDC Specialist I (0–3 years) supports the team with modeling and drawing updates, assists with Revit/AutoCAD layout development, performs clash detection, maintains BIM documentation, and participates in coordination meetings; candidates need basic Revit/AutoCAD experience or a strong desire to learn, technical coursework, interest in electrical construction, and confidence with Microsoft 365.
VDC Specialist II (3–5+ years) independently models 3D electrical systems, coordinates layouts with project managers and field supervisors, produces installation drawings and as‑built models, conducts clash detection, contributes to standards and process improvements, and attends project coordination meetings; candidates should have 3–5+ years of VDC/BIM experience, strong construction drawing knowledge, and proficiency with BIM 360, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and the Microsoft suite.
VDC Specialist III (5+ years) leads modeling and 3D coordination for major projects, represents Pieper in meetings with general contractors, architects, and engineers, resolves clashes independently, mentors junior team members, improves workflows and templates, and collaborates closely with the VDC Supervisor; candidates need advanced VDC/BIM expertise, a solid background in electrical construction, deep proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Navisworks, and BlueBeam, and the ability to lead and coach others.
Employees enjoy no‑premium healthcare, employee‑ownership benefits, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays and time off, clear career paths across VDC, engineering, and project management, a supportive team culture built on trust and learning, and opportunities to work in both Windsor and New Berlin.
