Take responsibility for complete set of construction documents
Define and develop complete project related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.
Evaluate, select and apply state-of-the-art ICT systems, techniques, procedures, design and modifications
Design and specify ICT systems including but not limited to fiber optic backbones, horizontal cabling, bonding and cabling pathways
Independently perform ICT communications assignments with broad general instruction from Project Manager as to the results expected
Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements.
Select and recommend procedures, communication devices and equipment; write specifications covering all communications system matters; perform reviews and work directly with owners as a part of project team
Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
Edit telecommunication or security specification specifically to the specific project.
Assist other Designers, Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed, and be responsible for work in all phases of ICT design process
Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed
The ICT Specialist will be expected to complete a variety of project tasks including but not limited to the following:
Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are meet within the project design.
Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule and under budget.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience
Show ability to design cabling pathways such as conduits or cable tray systems as well as proper bonding systems.
Knowledge of engineering drawings and design standards and practices.
Engineering Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Minimum 5 years experience in low-voltage system design
Ability to work in Revit, AutoCAD is a bonus. Must be able to learn new applications quickly.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Strong computer skills and a proficiency or able to work in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) or OSP (Outside Plant) is preferred
