The Senior Accountant role is critical for accurate financial reporting, internal controls and key accounting functions. Based in Deerfield, IL, the position offers a hybrid schedule with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. The accountant will compile financial information, process journal entries, reconcile accounts and analyze data, supporting one or multiple business units.
- Execute month‑end and year‑end close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain GAAP‑compliant general ledger accounts.
- Produce accurate balance sheet and income statement reports.
- Analyze financial data to support decision‑making and drive process automation.
- Manage cash, loans, cost accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, prepaid expenses and accruals.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations, investigate and resolve variances.
- Support corporate reporting, external audit requests and SOX compliance.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams for budgeting and forecasting.
- Identify and implement process‑improvement and automation opportunities.
- Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory changes.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; 4+ years experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; advanced Excel skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

- CPA certification or eligibility preferred.
- Experience in public accounting or large corporate environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and cost/international accounting.
