Kent is seeking a Senior Project Development Manager to lead the entire project team, including engineering managers, engineers, services and third parties, and to be accountable for delivering Pre‑FEED, FEED or Detailed Design projects on schedule, within budget and in line with corporate and client HSSE and quality standards.
The role typically manages feasibility, conceptual design and Pre‑FEED projects, with the potential to continue leadership as projects transition from Pre‑FEED to FEED and detailed design, guiding the client through decision gates and approvals.
Leadership in HSSE and QA/QC is required, including approval of project HSSE and QA/QC plans, monitoring their implementation, supporting audits, and overseeing technical reviews and workshops such as HAZOP/SIL, HAZID/ENVID, LOPA, FSA, SOA, value engineering, constructability and 3D model reviews.
The manager establishes and resources project requirements, oversees mobilisation of the core team, approves the Project Execution Plan and coordination procedures, and ensures effective collaboration with Kent, clients, engineering, sub‑contractors and other stakeholders while protecting gross margin.
Full responsibility for the project budget and contract includes coordinating initiation, execution and close‑out activities, managing progress monitoring, change management, and making commercial and technical decisions in consultation with the project sponsor or director.
Supervision of the entire project team, planning, coordination, meeting attendance, critical approvals and maintaining contacts constitute the majority of the role, with occasional ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Core competencies emphasize leadership of FEED and detailed design projects, global work‑share experience, team support, a focus on quality, and adherence to HSSE and quality standards.
Required qualifications include a master’s degree in engineering, chartered status preferred, extensive experience managing FEED and detailed design projects in the oil and gas sector, strong process engineering and technical safety knowledge, workshop leadership experience, contract expertise, familiarity with international specifications and codes, excellent planning and project controls, APM or equivalent certification, and excellent English communication skills.
Kent is committed to a diverse and inclusive community, offering family‑friendly policies, flexible working arrangements, employee networks, and disability accommodations, and actively encourages applications from all backgrounds.
