- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve civil and electrical/power engineering issues.
- Coordinate detailed design phases for civil and electrical projects with a team lead.
- Perform utility infrastructure designs using standard engineering guidelines.
- Lead efforts to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
- Ensure design activities comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Interface with vendors to prepare necessary materials.
- Prepare clear, concise technical reports and studies for clients.

HBK is seeking motivated students for its 2026 Summer Engineering Intern program. Interns gain hands‑on field and design experience and are treated as integral team members with technically challenging, educational tasks.
- Pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with at least one year of post‑secondary education.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Show proficiency with computer applications; training provided as needed.
- Work independently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Preferred: minimum 3.0 GPA, prior internship or consulting experience, campus or community involvement, willingness to work overtime, leadership experience, CAD and Microsoft Office proficiency, and surveying experience.
