Finance Business Partner

Description

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with operational teams, provide meaningful financial insights, and drive improvements that make a real difference. • You will perform contract reviews, tender modeling, and scenario analysis to guide pricing, capital investment, and operational decisions;
• Translate strategic and operational plans into budgets and forecasts that enhance delivery and results;
• Deliver analysis, visibility, and insights into underlying business unit performance to inform decisions;
• You will drive accountability for regional financial performance and provide expert financial support across the business;
• To conduct strategic financial analysis, including portfolio reviews, margin improvement opportunities, and cost reduction initiatives;
• To partner with leadership teams to support decision-making, target setting, investments, and performance improvement;
• Lead month-end close activities and maintain ongoing dialogue with the business to answer queries and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and KPIs.

Requirements

Critical Thinking

Communication and Influencing Skills

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business;
• Financial acumen to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights;
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience in accounting, finance, or a related field;
• Experience in mining or manufacturing is a plus;
• Collaboration skills to connect cross-functional teams to bring in different perspectives and facilitate effective decision making.
• Effective communication to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders;
• Consulting skills to analyse and understand the business needs and provide tailored advice, support and recommendations;
• Familiarity with SAP modules (such as BPC, BI Hana) and HFM would be an advantage;
• Ability to articulate the link between financial data and performance and operational drivers;
• A professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CPA, or CIMA) or currently in the final stages of completing one;
• Ability to influence decision making processes.
• Analytical skills to identify trends and provide meaningful recommendations.
• With strong understanding of accounting standards and principles.
• Ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner;
