You will implement, maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate handling of salaries, wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions. You will review time sheets, wage computations and attendance records to detect and reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate payroll records and reports. You will ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws, facilitate audits by providing documentation, and identify improvements to payroll software and procedures. Additionally, you will provide finance reports from UKG Pro and respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees regarding enrollments, plan changes and contributions.
We seek an experienced, detail‑oriented payroll manager to join our team. As a payroll manager you will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payments for employees. You will collaborate with various departments to gather and validate payroll information, resolve discrepancies and provide exceptional service. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of payroll regulations, exceptional organisational skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required, along with five to seven years of payroll experience and at least three years using the UKG payroll system. Experience with weekly, bi‑weekly and union payroll, union reporting, and CPP is essential. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to manage multiple tasks across projects and departments are must‑haves. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also required.
This is a hybrid position with three to four days per week in the office and one to two days remote. The role requires a flexible schedule and may involve night or weekend work as needed.
