Requirements

RWE Offshore Wind GmbH is hiring a Principal Applied Scientist – Wind Park & Turbine Performance on a full‑time or part‑time, permanent basis. The role requires a recognized authority and visionary in wind park and turbine performance, with expertise in power performance testing, power curve analysis, and warranty management. You will define and execute the strategic vision for optimizing turbine and wind‑farm performance using advanced measurement, data analytics, and statistical modeling.

• Hold an advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Bring 10+ years of wind‑power industry experience, focusing on power performance testing and analysis.
• Possess deep understanding of industry standards such as IEC 61400‑12 series.
• Demonstrate proven experience managing power‑curve warranty processes and claims for large‑scale offshore projects.
• Be proficient with data analysis tools and software like Python, WindPRO, Windographer, or OpenWind.
• Exhibit strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while leading cross‑functional teams.
