The technician’s primary function is to perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, and maintenance tasks supporting test, prototype fabrication, research, and development projects, working under the guidance of a senior technician and engineering staff.
- Test Setup – read specifications from technical documents and prepare equipment
- Perform Testing – monitor tests, interact with customers, troubleshoot, and document data
- Data Processing – verify, review, finalize, and upload test data after completion
- Post-Test Breakdown – remove test articles, pack for shipment, and notify office of weight and dimensions
- Lab Maintenance – return equipment and tools to storage to keep the facility neat and clean
- Assist with shipping and receiving
- Assist with calibration – keep calibrated equipment current
- Complete basic technical and mechanical procedures under close supervision
- Assist with basic troubleshooting, test interpretation, and result analysis

- Understand AC/DC circuits and work with high voltage
- Comfortable with client interaction
- Overnight travel as needed
- Comprehensive understanding of electronic test equipment (DMM, oscilloscopes, power supplies)
- Working knowledge of basic safety practices
- Basic mechanical and MS Office skills
