As a Safety Manager at Clark Construction, you will safeguard employees, trade partners, and the public on world‑class projects. The role centers on building a culture of care while enforcing the company’s Safety and Health Policy and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Drive the Clark safety culture on each project.
- Oversee the safety of employees, trade partners, and the general public.
- Enforce corporate and project‑specific safety and health programs and all federal, state, and local standards.
- Mentor safety staff and support their professional development.
- Identify known or potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement project‑specific safety programs.
- Partner with field supervision to embed hazard mitigation into construction planning.
- Create project‑specific safety education for jobsite personnel and subcontractors based on upcoming work and risk trends.
- Communicate a clear safety vision and align the team to achieve a safe workplace for everyone.
- Facilitate third‑party safety reviews, including OSHA inspections.

The position is physically active and requires frequent time on construction sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and moving equipment. You must be comfortable lifting up to 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally, and you will also spend time at a desk reviewing documents and attending meetings.
The work environment demands adaptability to varying weather, noise, and confined or elevated spaces, while also involving typical office settings. Safety compliance with Clark policies and all legal requirements is mandatory at every location.

- Minimum 4 + years of construction safety experience with an undergraduate degree in safety and health or equivalent trade experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
- Training and experience managing crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffold, and heavy‑equipment safety.
- Strong stakeholder communication and persuasion skills across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Agile, data‑driven approach to achieving individual and organizational objectives.

- Preferred: OSHA 30‑Hour certification.
