The role spans the entire sales cycle, from pre‑sales discovery and solution design through post‑implementation support and cross‑function collaboration. It also includes enablement activities such as onboarding, training, and thought‑leadership contributions both internally and at industry events.
- Own the technical evaluation phase from discovery through solution validation for owner and developer prospects.
- Partner with Sales to redesign complex pre‑development, construction, draw management, and reporting workflows within Built’s platform.
- Conduct detailed discovery of current ERP, construction‑management, and payments systems, stakeholder pain points, and data requirements.
- Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations for executive, finance, and operational audiences.
- Build and present ROI‑based financial models that quantify operational efficiency and risk reduction.
- Establish credibility as a real‑estate development and construction‑finance expert, addressing owner/developer reporting and compliance needs.
- Support Client Success during implementation and post‑go‑live by resolving workflow, reporting, or integration challenges.
- Collaborate with Product & Engineering to assess configuration and integration requirements and share recurring client pain points.
- Contribute to internal enablement through new‑hire onboarding, sales training, and best‑practice documentation.
- Represent Built at national and regional industry conferences as a proptech and owner/developer solutions specialist.
- Promote cross‑selling of Built’s owner/developer solutions alongside construction‑lending offerings for banks and non‑bank lenders.
- Tailor presentations to diverse decision‑maker audiences and exhibit exceptional communication skills.

The Solutions Engineer – Owner/Developer (OGC) role is a trusted advisor who translates complex real‑estate development and construction‑finance workflows into scalable software solutions. This position blends deep technical aptitude, industry expertise, and consultative sales skills while partnering with Sales, Product & Engineering, and Client Success to drive successful evaluations, implementations, and long‑term adoption.
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and the ability to explain complex systems quickly.
- Leverage prior sales‑engineering or consultative SaaS experience, preferably in proptech.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as Yardi, Sage, QuickBooks Online, and MRI, and construction‑management tools like Procore, Sage Intacct, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Understanding of digital payments, draw processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements within the real‑estate construction ecosystem.
