Assembling, inspecting adjusting, repairing, or replacing faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic and electrical devices. Making mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights.
The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and field activity.
Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements.
Trouble-shoot primary electronic systems using ladder logic, diagrams, and schematics.
Stooping – Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist.
Remove and replace motors, starters, relays, limit switches, fuses, and primary control components.
Perform mechanical operations, repair, and maintenance to building systems to include automatic transfer switches, UPS/battery storage, emergency generators, and photovoltaic systems.

Prior work experience in a commercial setting.

Basic computer skills such as internet, email, electronic manual, etc. Ability to learn additional programs as needed.
The ability to read, understand and communicate in English is required. Communication includes both verbal and written skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with other trade partners as well as peers, supervisors, and clients.
Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.
Walking - The person in this position needs to frequently move about the jobsite.
Reaching – Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction for various lengths of time.
Grasping – Needs to apply pressure to an object with fingers and palm regularly.
Must be able to make new installation wiring hook-ups and upgrade present equipment (if needed).
Certifications for sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, EPS and boiler systems preferred.
Pass background check - REQUIRED
Interpret and understand Federal, State and local code ordinances.
Sometimes operates a computer or tablet and other office machinery, such as a calculator and phone.
Possess a valid driver's license - REQUIRED
Must be able to work varying shifts including, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Obtain badging by LAWA - REQUIRED
Balancing – Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch.
Trouble-shoot controls and power electrical systems.
Refrigeration System Operating Engineer Certification.
