Prepare and review HV electrical design drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs), and Layouts for substations, power distribution, and utility networks.
Perform Cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations using relevant software tools.
Design substation layouts, equipment selection, protection & control schemes, and earthing systems in accordance with project requirements.
Ensure designs comply with DEWA or other local authority standards.
Review vendor drawings, material submittals, and support procurement with technical evaluations.
Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
Develop technical specifications, BOQs, and design reports for submission and approval.
Participate in design review meetings, value engineering, and technical workshops.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other discipline teams to ensure proper integration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Electrical design software.
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer (HV) with expertise in High Voltage Substation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with clients, consultants, suppliers and authorities to ensure design compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, BS, and local authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, FEWA).
💼 Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical design with focus on High Voltage (11kV and above) systems.
Proven experience in substation design, utility interface, and power distribution.
Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
