The Production Executive position is located in Huron, OH, and is tasked with executing production activities according to established procedures while maintaining appropriate levels of health, safety, environment (HSE), quality, service, and cost control.
In this role you will operate sophisticated equipment, manage daily production and preventive‑maintenance tasks, and ensure that production targets are met without compromising quality. You will own the safe operation of production assets, report any safety or quality issues, and actively contribute to continuous‑improvement programs, including investigations, hazard reporting, and compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
- Participate in safety programs, perform daily checklists, and maintain 5S standards.
- Operate sophisticated equipment under general supervision for routine and complex assignments.
- Own production assets and ensure safe operation per procedures and best practices.
- Conduct daily production, preventive maintenance, data collection, and administrative tasks.
- Report safety, quality, or process issues to the Team Leader/Shift Supervisor.
- Meet shift production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Issue CARs or hazard reports for any relevant issues.
- Provide progress updates to the Team Leader/Shift Supervisor.
- Attend and contribute to meetings.
- Assist investigations of HSE or quality issues, including customer complaints and reject batches.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities for HSE, Quality, ALPS, and color adjustments.
- Comply with corporate, site, and laboratory policies regarding conduct, HSE, and product safety.
- Ensure proper hazardous waste collection, labeling, and container closure.
- Contact Emergency Coordinator immediately for leaks or spills.
- Follow DOT requirements for filling, closing, labeling, and handling bulk and non‑bulk containers.
- Load and unload bulk containers, tank trucks, and railcars per DOT regulations.
- Follow PSM policies, Emergency Action Plans, and related work instructions.
- Engage in process and batch improvement activities.
- Participate in Management of Change, incident investigations, PHA, PSSR, CAPA, and safety committees.

Candidates must have at least a high‑school diploma, be 18 years or older, and possess prior experience in a paint manufacturing environment. A basic understanding of chemistry, mechanical aptitude, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong math skills are required, as is the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 lb, working at heights, and handling valves and bulk containers.
- High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
- Prior experience in a paint manufacturing facility.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical processes.
- Ability to read and interpret trends, graphs, and charts.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and use of general mechanic tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for data collection and recording.
- Strong math skills for measurements, percentages, and unit conversions.
- Ability to lift materials up to 55 lb and perform frequent repetitive lifting.
- Capability to bend, reach, manipulate valves, adjust equipment, stack pallets, and climb ladders or stairs.
- Ability to work at heights up to 20‑50 feet.
