The Senior Principal Enterprise Information Architect supports cross-functional business initiatives by leading and participating in information strategy development, information architecture design, and defining and organizing enterprise information through best practices in information modeling, taxonomy, and controlled vocabulary development. A cross functional and strategic team member, this role is responsible for unlocking the enterprise value through the development of information strategies and associated reference architectures. This role is an opportunity to apply your passion for data with the art of information design and enterprise architecture, underpinning our growth strategy and strategic business initiatives supporting innovation. This position will report to the Director of Information Management and is recognized as an expert and advisor within the organization with in-depth expertise in their own discipline and a broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.
- Identify and enforce necessary governance connections within and across domains.
- Analyze data to capture requirements clearly, completely, and correctly while representing them in a formal and visual way through concept models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify relevant data to be included in a domain’s information architecture.
- Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work.
- Stay current with industry trends and introduce these best practices to the company.
- Guide IT teams in making architecture and solutions decisions
- Facilitate meetings with business subject matter experts, decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define goals and information requirements.
- Develop and recommend new concepts, technologies, services, processes, or products to address future client and/or customer requirements within information, data, and analytics.
- Participate in enterprise-wide domain governance groups.
- Proactively identify and solve problems that impact the management and direction of the enterprise information architecture and associated domain strategies.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into high level information architecture designs based on best practices.
- Drive the notion of reusable information assets and promote data as an asset.
- Implement the enterprise information architecture framework and strategies.
- Establish strong working relationships with business and technology leaders to influence and ensure IT and business alignment.
- Ensure concepts, business relationships, associations, and semantics are effectively represented to facilitate business communication.
- Promote best practices regarding integration frameworks, methodologies and tools.
- Collaborate on the development of enterprise-wide standards and best practices for development of domain level information architectures and associated strategies.
- Contribute to strategic planning by aligning technology decisions with business objectives.

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree plus an additional 36 graduate level college semester hours from an accredited institution in an area of specialty.
- Advanced knowledge of TOGAF and/or other Enterprise Architecture methods
- Understanding of IT data implantation methods (e.g., logical and physical models, implementation technologies, such as Hadoop, Greenplum, Teradata, Essbase, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of common data implantation methods (e.g., logical and physical models, and common implementation technology platforms such as Hadoop, Greenplum, Teradata, Essbase, etc.)
- A minimum of 14 years professional experience in related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in information architecture
- Ability to develop enterprise information and data strategies
- Certification in business and/or information architecture (TOGAF, DODAF, Business Architecture Guild, or other relevant certifications) preferred.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and measures for data protection and privacy
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in information systems design, computer science, data governance, data management, or a related field, plus an additional 36 graduate level college semester hours from an accredited institution in an area of specialty. Master’s degree or higher in information systems design, computer science, data governance, data management, or a related field preferred.
- Advanced research and analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge with cloud-based information repositories and solutions (e.g., Snowflake)
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A minimum of 14 years professional experience in related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in information architecture.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate with leadership in written, presentation, or ad-hoc verbal formats
