In this role you will oversee cab and engine assembly, ensure compliance with standard work, quality, and build requirements, and use tools and lifting devices for components over 35 lb. You will lead a team, train new and existing employees, act as liaison to section managers, and manage daily PQVC metric boards. Continuous improvement practices such as 5S, waste elimination, and idea reporting are integral to the job.
- Ensure compliance with assembly procedures, standard work schedules, quality, and build requirements.
- Use tools and lifting devices to handle components weighing more than 35 lb.
- Apply CPS principles: 5S, continuous improvement, waste elimination, and standard work.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Meet deadlines while multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
- Train new hires and develop existing team members.
- Serve as liaison between team members and section managers.
- Act as first point of contact for employee job‑function questions.
- Perform administrative duties, including managing daily PQVC metric boards.
- Provide input on schedule/build adjustments and communicate with cross‑functional leaders.
- Communicate potential schedule, inventory, or manpower issues and propose solutions to the section manager.
- Make independent decisions and solve problems to complete job tasks.
- Sit or stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive operations.
