🔹 Launch Governance & Reporting

• Ensure alignment of BOM, process flow, and work instructions with production goals
• Define and execute tooling upgrade plans for production-grade molds, dies, and fixtures
• Develop and maintain launch dashboards, KPIs, and risk registers
• Design of Process Sheets / P-FMEA
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IATF, RDSO if applicable)
• Manage vendor timelines for tool fabrication, modification, and handover
• Own the launch roadmap from initial prototype tooling to mass production readiness
• Lead pilot builds, line trials, and PPAP activities to ensure process stability
• Oversee procurement, commissioning, and validation of production tooling and equipment
• Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve DFM/DFA issues
• Facilitate gate reviews, control plans, and change management processes
• Validate prototype tools for dimensional accuracy, process capability, and design intent
• Drive MoldFlow, FEM, and DOE studies to optimize tooling performance

Requirements

Seeking a proactive and technically adept Launch Manager to lead the transition of new products from prototype tooling through pilot builds to full-scale mass production. This role is pivotal in ensuring that engineering intent is preserved while achieving manufacturability, cost targets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage tooling readiness, and drive production ramp-up with precision and speed.

• 8 15 years of experience in product launch, tooling, and production ramp-up
• Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multi-site launches and vendor development programs
• Exposure to RDSO specifications
• Experience with PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and root cause analysis
• Experience in railway, automotive, or heavy engineering sectors
• Familiarity with PLM systems, ERP integration, and production documentation
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
• Strong knowledge of prototype tooling, injection molding, sheet metal, processes
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, MoldFlow, MS Project, and APQP tools
