The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role supports the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions for complex problems, managing projects, and training both service and contract technicians.
Key responsibilities include promoting safety, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems and associated control components, managing work orders with detailed labor and parts data, leading and auditing preventative‑maintenance programs, and mentoring junior technicians while maintaining positive relationships throughout the Operations facility.
Basic qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, at least four years of experience with material handling equipment, preventative maintenance, blueprint and schematic reading, three years using a CMMS, and two years programming PLCs. Experience in a team‑lead capacity, vendor management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project is also required, along with the ability to work flexible schedules.
Preferred qualifications include an associate’s or higher degree in a mechanical or electrical field and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. The role demands physical abilities such as reaching overhead, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lb, using aerial lifts, wearing required PPE, and working in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and daily travel of 6–12 miles.
