The Marketing Representative position is within the Property Management department, reporting to the Community Director and/or Marketing Manager as applicable, and is classified as non‑exempt. This role is responsible for coordinating marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to meet occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals.
The representative performs all leasing activities, from greeting and qualifying prospects in person to processing applications, conducting credit and background checks, preparing lease packages, and ensuring a smooth move‑in experience. They also handle lease renewals and maintain resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.
Key organizational responsibilities include acting as a Journey Visionary by prioritizing solutions that drive metrics, demonstrating Passion & Innovation to solve issues with creative approaches, and serving as an Organizational Ambassador by engaging residents and stakeholders. The role also involves project and change management, creating clear plans for launches, leading cross‑functional teams, and participating in community service and industry associations.
Work hours are typically 40 per week, with standard site hours from 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and weekend availability as needed. The position requires meeting attendance expectations, adhering to Gallery Residential policies, and being able to perform all essential functions independently.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a background in sales, marketing, internet usage, and customer service. Candidates must be proficient in word processing, property‑management software (preferably Yardi), and spreadsheets, possess strong communication and mathematical skills, and hold a valid driver’s license.
The work environment involves regular use of hands, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and occasional lifting of up to 20 lb independently or 50 lb with assistance. Employees must access all areas of the property, operate golf carts where applicable, and may travel locally for training or market research.
