Working knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manuals (Book 12, 15, 5, & 7), Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Ontario Traffic Manuals (OTM), RP-8 (latest version), Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices Canada (MUTCDC), and Technical Manuals published by the Transportation Association of Canada
Major RAQS qualified is an asset
Experience with O.Reg 22/04 certification and liaising with utility authorities
Experience with pole loading software i.e. SPIDAcalc or equivalent is an asset
Proficient with AGI 32 and RP-8 is a must
Must have or be eligible for the P. Eng. designation in Ontario
Must be proficient with AutoCAD and Microstation
Experience working on MTO Minor and Major Electrical projects
10 years relevant experience in roadway illumination and intersection/traffic signal design, ideally in a design-consulting or utility environment.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering various complex projects with large size and scope
Experience performing site inspections, construction supervision and contract administration under the above context
A valid driver's license and vehicle is required
Completed Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Traffic/Civil Engineering
