The Land Purchasing Manager is responsible for contracting all land‑development vendors and reviewing construction plans to ensure compliance with Lennar standards. The role requires experience in heavy civil engineering, purchasing, or estimating.
Key duties include reviewing civil drawings, collaborating with project managers on budget accuracy, overseeing the bidding process, issuing and tracking contracts and work orders, and forecasting expenditures for cash‑flow modeling. The manager also monitors material cost trends, manages vendor relationships, prepares purchasing documents, assists with development cost estimates, and maintains comprehensive purchasing records.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, with a civil or geotechnical engineering degree preferred, and a minimum of three years in raw land development, civil engineering, value engineering, or estimating. Preferred qualifications include off‑site purchasing experience, knowledge of infrastructure and grading, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with JD Edwards, Build Pro, and on‑screen takeoff tools.
