Process Engineer - Injection Molding

Description

• Conduct mold trials, capability studies, and process validations.
• Lead training for technicians and operators on processes, troubleshooting, and new technologies.
• Work closely with Product Development, Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize scrap and downtime.
• Lead process improvements using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Support the design, evaluation, and optimization of molds, tooling, and fixtures for new and existing products.
• Integrate automation solutions—robotics, conveyors, vision systems, etc.—into molding operations.
• Utilize data analytics and emerging technologies (Industry 4.0) to enhance consistency and efficiency.
• Develop, optimize, and implement injection molding processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and elevate quality.
• Prepare technical reports, performance updates, and improvement recommendations.
• Provide guidance on resin selection, material behavior, and testing.
• Partner with R&D and production teams to evaluate new materials and support performance improvements.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and risk assessments.

Requirements

Dekko is searching for a skilled Process Engineer – Injection Molding to support and elevate our molding operations. In this role, you’ll take ownership of optimizing molding processes, improving product quality and driving efficiency across high-volume manufacturing. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, lead process improvements and help us bring reliable, high-quality products to market.

• RJG, SPE, or similar molding certifications.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in process optimization, troubleshooting, mold trials, and material selection.
• Strong understanding of molding equipment, auxiliary systems, and automation.
• Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Six Sigma or Lean certification.
