The finance team at The Guinness Partnership plays a critical role in ensuring a strong financial base for a high‑performing organisation. We are recruiting a Financial Accountant – Tax & Reporting on a permanent, full‑time basis (35 hours per week) at either our Oldham, Bower House or London, Euston Road office, working in a hybrid style. The overall purpose of the role is to assist in delivering a high‑quality financial service in line with agreed timetables.

- Experience of tax in industry or practice with strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Understanding, analysing and communicating Corporation Tax, CIS or VAT (partial exemption) and associated return processes
- Experience working with external advisors and coordinating, communicating and cataloguing requests
- Technical working knowledge relevant to statutory financial statements preparation
- Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented approach to problem‑solving
- Experience in reconciliation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Proven customer service experience
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours
- Desirable: Proven experience leading preparation of financial statements for audit and applying accounting standards
- Desirable: Knowledge of Oracle Financials
- Desirable: Relevant experience within the social housing sector
- Essential qualification: CCAB or CIMA qualified
