  • Specification Writing
  • Individual will perform design calculations, develop plan details, quantity take offs, specification writing and other technical report writing.
  • Participate in negotiations to secure contract awards.

  • Evaluation of bridges and transportation structures and the identification and prioritization of repairs.
  • Participate in client relations for the business unit’s strategic clients, meet with clients
  • Review of construction phase submittals

  • Perform Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects
  • Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation design, and transportation facilities.
  • Quality Control & Assurance reviews of all project deliverables
  • Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications

  • Ability to market the skills of the structural and transportation engineering practice.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience
  • Experience with conceptual through final analysis and design of new steel and concrete bridges of various types and configurations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish partnerships with internal and external project management, client representatives, government agencies, and other organizations.
  • Ability to work in a corporate environment, communicating with a wide range of professional skill sets.
  • Knowledge of structures design for both bridges and ancillary structures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Ability to manage staff to effectively deliver projects on deadlines, including managing multiple staff working on multiple projects including management of subconsultants.
  • Professional Engineer license (PE) in the state of NJ is required
  • Bridge load ratings
  • Understanding of project budgets, administration, contracts, and project management responsibilities.
  • Professional Licensure and Society Memberships
  • Other regional state PE’s are acceptable
