Own the overall system integration roadmap for VEIR’s HTS products across all product platforms.
Evaluate team structure, communication paths, and integration processes to improve execution velocity and reduce late-stage system surprises.
Establish clear integration requirements, interface documentation, and cross-functional workflows.
Drive cross-functional technical problem solving for complex integration challenges, including dynamic system interactions, interface failures, and unexpected system behavior.
Mentor and coach engineers across multiple disciplines, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
Lead the integration of cryogenic hardware, electrical systems, mechanical interfaces, control logic, and protection systems into a unified, high-performance product.
Create alignment on system-level deliverables, schedules, and milestones for VEIR’s integration roadmap.
Build strong relationships with teams in conductor assembly, cryogenics, controls & automation, fault handling, and terminations.
Develop a deep understanding of VEIR’s product architecture, subsystem interfaces, and end-to-end system behavior across all product lines.
Lead technical reviews, integration planning sessions, and early subsystem compatibility checks.
Apply your systems engineering and integration expertise to guide architectural decisions, identify cross-functional risks, and support system-level design tradeoffs.
Ensure integrated system designs meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements, both in lab environments and in field deployment scenarios.
Partner closely with program management, hardware engineering, cryogenics, controls, and field teams to ensure alignment on requirements, test plans, and validation milestones.
De-risk critical system-level challenges and ensure VEIR’s products are ready for prototype demonstrations, customer pilots, and commercial deployment.

Company
Overview
Founded 2019
Year Established
The company was established in 2019 with the goal of rethinking electricity distribution.
5–10x More Power
Transmission Capacity
Their high-temperature superconducting lines can carry 5 to 10 times more power than traditional cables at the same voltage.
$75M Series B
Funding Raised
Raised a $75 million Series B in January 2025, backed by notable investors including Munich Re Ventures and Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund.
2023 Outdoor Demo
Transmission Validation
Conducted the first outdoor demonstration of an overhead superconducting line to validate long-distance, high-current transmission capabilities.
Developed high-temperature superconducting transmission lines using passive liquid nitrogen cooling for efficiency and compact design.
Engineers solutions for data centers, renewable energy developers, and grid operators to overcome transmission bottlenecks and simplify interconnection.
Its breakthrough evaporative cooling requires no compressors, enabling scalable overhead deployment rather than buried systems.
VEIR stands out by delivering utility-scale power transmission that fits within existing rights-of-way and accelerates AI-driven energy infrastructure deployment.
