What you would be doing

Assist with preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals, and technical responses for proposal requests.
Assists inspections using various testing methods, mechanized access machinery, climbing or diving equipment, and drones or sonar scanning devices.
Mobilizes to other offices/states as required to staff additional inspection teams.
Conducts safety inspections of bridges and other structures, and prepares associated written technical reports and electronic drawings.

Ability to work constructively in a team environment, grow to supervise other's work, communicate and maintain professional working relationships.
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification is a plus.
Any bridge inspection experience is a plus.
Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural or related Engineering discipline (ABET-accredited preferred).
Willing to attend bridge inspection training courses based on the FHWA Bridge Inspector's Reference Manual (BIRM) and keep current with refresher and continuing education requirements.
Must be open to trave out-of-state or on short notice for emergency work.
Any NHI bridge inspection coursework is a plus.
Must be physically able to perform bridge inspection task in the field, including different types of access and conditions.
