Life Safety/Security Communications Specialist

Description

• Create and track work orders through Corrigo system while coordinating with security, EHS, and facility operations teams
• Complete incident reports using CAD system and maintain accurate documentation of all emergency responses
• Receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls using Emergency Medical Dispatch guidelines and established protocols
• Monitor and respond to access control systems, fire alarms, surveillance cameras, and critical system alarms across multiple sites
• Monitor video surveillance systems and operate multi-site radio communications to maintain comprehensive security oversight
• Utilize Critical Event Management platform to disseminate urgent messages and account for personnel during major incidents
• Serve as liaison between JLL personnel and external emergency services including EMS, law enforcement, and fire departments

Requirements

• Public Safety Telecommunicator I certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch certification (or ability to obtain)
• Previous experience in corporate security operations or emergency management roles
• Experience with threat assessment, emergency mass notification systems, and CISCO phone systems
• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field
• Current CPR certification and/or Emergency Medical Technician credentials
• 2+ years of experience in emergency medical services, fire services, or emergency communications
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and mandatory overtime
• Technical knowledge of C-Cure 9000 Access Control System and video surveillance systems such as Milestone
• Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail
• High School diploma or equivalent with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods and function as essential personnel during holidays and site closures
