Plans and monitors production standards and perform quality-control checks.
Maintains and approves timecards, coordinates attendance, time off requests, and payroll processes.
Ensures employees are cross-trained for optimal product output and coverage.
Analyzes department needs. Assigns tasks and projects to staff and determines most effective methods for completing them on a timely basis.
Provides direction, feedback and supervises 20-40 production employees during the manufacturing of steel products, oversees changeovers, packaging, coil loading and unloading.
Monitors production schedule and workflows to maximize efficiency.
Keeps assigned work area clean at all times
Compiles and present production reports for Work-In-Progress, Production Downtime and Volume, and Production Costs
Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications
Supervises leads and hourly manufacturing in the shop
Inspect equipment and machinery regularly to ensure safe and good working order and coordinates maintenance and repairs as needed.
Ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all PPE, LOTO, control points, and equipment.
