The construction lab prepares, forms, and pours concrete foundations and shafts for steel storage tanks, vessels, and structures. Fabricated steel products include elevated tanks, flat‑bottom tanks, pressure vessels, spheres, structural steel, and other miscellaneous steel items.
Local requirements include a minimum of 12 months documented field experience. Candidates must be able to compare size, shape, and form of lines and objects, rate information against measurable standards, calculate concrete quantities for each job, and work within precise accuracy limits.
Qualifications typically require a high school diploma or equivalent combined with relevant field experience. The role relies on known concepts, practices, and procedures, follows instructions and pre‑established guidelines, works under immediate supervision, and does not normally require independent judgment.
Required skills and behaviors include the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, pass pre‑employment drug screening and physicals, wear a respirator when needed, work outdoors in varying weather, travel as required, and report to work on short notice (within 24 hours). Additional duties may be assigned.
