The Cook position works a 5‑day week, 7:00 am‑2:00 pm (including weekends), reporting to the Director of Dining Services and overseeing food preparation, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Impact residents’ lives and build lasting relationships.
- Deliver signature dining, fitness, wellness, and care programs.
- Prepare all menu items according to recipes, ensuring nutrition, appeal, and special dietary needs.
- Serve food at correct temperatures, maintain proper plate presentation, and record equipment temperatures.
- Keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation and dietitian regulations.
- Manage food orders, waste disposal, and proper labeling of leftovers.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including servers and dishwashers, and promote a positive teamwork attitude.
- Ensure safe inventory storage and efficient use of kitchen supplies.
- Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness at all times.
- Follow all governmental and company food safety policies; report infractions immediately.
