- Ability to travel regionally for project work
- Working knowledge of mapping and ARCGISrelated programs
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks in urban and rural settings and/or hot and dry climates, including walking, hiking, and field navigating
- Fluency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Adobe Acrobat
- Eight or more years of professional experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Qualified applicants should be able to demonstrate good leadership and judgement qualities, collaboration, strong technical skills, good communication skills, and feel comfortable making technical decisions in the field.
- Experience interpreting the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
- Master’s degree in Historic Preservation, Public History, History, or closely related field
- Experience writing and producing Section 106related technical reports; strong writing and research skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with Section 106 of National Historic Preservation Act, including working through all steps of the 106 review process (initiate, identify, assess effects, and resolve adverse effects)
