  • Lead the technical verification and certification of subsea pipeline system designs, ensuring compliance with relevant international codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Lead, prepare and present technical papers and represent LR externally in conferences and industry forums.
  • Conduct independent assessments of pipeline design integrity, including wall thickness calculations, buckling analysis, and fatigue life evaluations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure knowledge transfer and capability development within the team.
  • Interface with stakeholders including clients, EPC contractors, regulatory bodies and internal multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic pipeline system integrity.

  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution and working towards chartered status.
  • Specialist knowledge in the design of subsea pipelines including routine aspects such as wall thickness, stability and expansion and more advanced aspects such as lateral buckling, out-of-straightness and probabilistic methods.
  • Familiarity with subsea equipment design, umbilicals, or subsea cable systems.
  • Is effective at solving problems, trouble-shooting and making timely decisions
  • Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare, discuss, and present technical deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
  • Responds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of own comfort zone
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A solid understanding of the overall pipeline design process at different stages of the project development.
  • Is able to self-manage and prioritize tasks towards achieving goals
  • Communicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices related to subsea pipeline engineering.
  • Project management and cross-disciplinary coordination skills.
