Description

The IT Support Technician manages computer‑based systems for residents and staff, delivering prompt, accurate solutions while demonstrating exemplary customer service. Responsibilities include reviewing IT requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing support for network and A/V equipment.

• Provide computer hardware, software, and network support to residents and staff.
• Instruct users on proper IT system usage and deliver basic computer skills training.
• Respond to service requests via phone, walk‑ins, or tickets and route complex issues to the LCS IT Support Team.
• Maintain hardware inventory, set up PCs, install printers, and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Assist with A/V setup for meetings and support onboarding of new residents and staff.
• Install and update software according to LCS IT authorization.
• Perform additional community life services duties such as digital communications and event support.
• Work occasional nights and weekends as required and attend training sessions.

Requirements

The role requires flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends and to attend in‑service training and online education sessions. The technician must also be able to lift up to 30 lb, maneuver in small spaces, and reach high places when needed.

• Minimum two years of IT experience (or degree/ GED with two years experience); certification and help‑desk experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IT security, troubleshooting, hardware/software installation, and analytical problem‑solving techniques.
• Demonstrate strong hospitality focus and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lb, work in small spaces, and reach high locations.
