The BIM/VDC Specialist supports the Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction process and works directly under the BIM/VDC Manager to facilitate jobsite construction using VDC. The specialist creates 3D models on a complex project or multiple small projects and may assist with design validation and model maintenance, while also visiting the field to learn concrete construction methods.

The BIM/VDC Specialist must demonstrate competency across several areas to perform safely, productively, and effectively. These responsibilities encompass model creation, pre‑construction visualization, technology research, training support, IT collaboration, safety assurance, and ongoing professional development.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related field and have at least five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced proficiency in 3D/4D/5D BIM and familiarity with platforms such as AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, Revit, and Tekla is required.
