Senior Radar Processing Engineer – KBR’s National Security Solutions team delivers high‑end engineering and advanced technology solutions to intelligence and national security customers. The role supports funded projects that involve radar processing and the application of estimation and detection theory to novel problems, directly contributing to protecting the nation’s security.
Key responsibilities include applying expertise in estimation, detection, tracking and classification to solve critical radar system problems, developing new estimation‑theoretic algorithms and implementing them in MATLAB or Python, and enhancing existing codebases to process data from emerging sensor systems. The engineer will also prepare and present briefings to customers and work with a flexible schedule that may require up to 20 % travel.
Candidates must hold an active Top Secret clearance, and possess a Master’s degree (plus at least five years experience) or a PhD in electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics. Required skills include programming in MATLAB and Python, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and strong oral and written communication. Desired qualifications include SCI eligibility, radar systems experience, and proven customer‑interaction abilities.
