The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. This role handles lease signings and acts as a landlord on behalf of property owners, ensuring smooth move‑in experiences and strong community engagement.
- Respond to telephone and internet inquiries, scheduling virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
- Greet and qualify prospects using lead management software; assist with applications and deposits while following Fair Housing rules.
- Maintain updated availability reports, process applications with credit checks and rental‑history verification, and submit for Community Manager approval.
- Follow up with applicants on status and obtain signatures on lease paperwork.
- Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move‑in, and provide community orientation.
- Maintain an active social‑media presence for the property to boost visibility and engagement.
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention by promptly addressing complaints, questions, and service requests.
- Conduct all functions needed to close sales, including lead generation, tours, showroom upkeep, and follow‑up.
- Implement marketing strategies within budget limits (competitive rates, referrals, promotions, outreach) to generate traffic.
- Present a favorable community image to achieve property objectives and public recognition.
- Plan and host resident events (parties, contests) and attend after‑hours functions as needed.
- Complete lease, move‑in, check‑out, and peak‑period paperwork promptly.
- Attend weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of resident service requests.
- Work primarily on‑site in an office setting, with occasional outdoor exposure and a noisy, brightly lit environment.

Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of related experience, and be proficient with Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.
