The Role

Overview

Design and support high-voltage transmission lines for utility projects.

Tasks

-Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings. -Prepare specifications and project design criteria. -Design of high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD. -Occasional travel to client and project locations will be expected. -Provide field support during construction.

What You Bring

-Experience in HVDC is a plus. -3 years related transmission line design experience. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Consulting or utility experience preferred. -Ability to work in a team environment. -Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. -Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience. -Excellent written & verbal communication skills. -Experience in scheduling and budgeting. -The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as provide technical leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
