As a Senior Ecologist you will support the Senior Ecologist on ecological schemes, lead projects, mentor junior ecologists and provide ecological expertise to regional and national public‑sector clients across highways, rail, local authority, central government, aviation and waste sectors.
Key duties involve delivering technically sound ecological deliverables, preparing high‑quality documentation, liaising with clients and suppliers, managing a small technical team, contributing to bid preparation and promoting health and safety within the team.
The role requires extensive ecological experience, licences for protected‑species surveys (especially bat licences), EPS mitigation licence experience, invasive‑species management, strong knowledge of survey methodologies, ability to meet legislative and client standards, health‑and‑safety competence, a relevant degree and full CIEEM membership or equivalent.
