The position begins May 26 2026 with a starting pay rate of $48.97 per hour (non‑negotiable). The primary purpose is to obtain, prepare, and analyze chemical and radioanalytical samples from plant systems. Key duties include recording and trending chemical analysis data, notifying management of out‑of‑specification conditions, responding to operational chemistry needs, executing emergency‑plan tasks, performing inventories, maintaining laboratory housekeeping, monitoring radiation dose, and completing routine tasks such as gas‑bottle changes, resin‑column replacements, chart‑paper changes, and liquid‑nitrogen refills.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, ability to pass pre‑employment testing, ability to work different shifts, unescorted nuclear access, and strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Candidates must demonstrate leadership by motivating others and consistently achieving results. Additionally, candidates must have either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering (or equivalent), two years of professional chemistry experience, or Navy nuclear experience as an Engineering Lab Technician.
