The Project Manager role, located remotely across several southeastern states, reports to the Construction Operations Department and interfaces with program managers, safety/quality, finance, HR, IT/cyber, legal/compliance and pre‑construction teams. The position is classified as exempt and leads the field execution of federal construction projects through the Acquire‑Comply‑Execute lifecycle.
Responsible for end‑to‑end project delivery, the manager owns safety, quality, cost, schedule and compliance performance, leads Integrated Project Teams, conducts stage‑gate reviews, and ensures auditable documentation.
- Lead execution of assigned federal construction projects from inception to completion, overseeing Integrated Project Teams across operations, safety, finance, and supply chain.
- Develop and manage baseline budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance reports, maintaining CPI ≥ 0.95 and DCAA‑ready documentation.
- Create and maintain baseline schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, track earned value, and implement recovery plans for critical‑path variances.
- Provide transparent, data‑driven reporting on safety, cost, and schedule metrics to Program Management and secure approvals for change orders and re‑baselines.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, DCAA, NIST 800‑171, ISO 9001, and maintain required site plans, risk logs, and inspection records.
- Supervise, mentor, and foster collaboration within project teams, preparing weekly progress reports and three‑week look‑ahead schedules via the OPS Platform (GCC High).

Candidates must have at least seven years of experience managing federal construction projects of $5 million or more, a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering (master’s preferred), and will obtain a PMP within 12 months and OSHA 30 certification. Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DCAA, NIST 800‑171, ISO 9001 and relevant tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is required.
- Minimum 7 years experience managing federal construction projects ≥ $5 M (DOE, DoD, NAVFAC, USACE, etc.) and a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
- Obtain and maintain a federal security clearance; pass background check.
- Hold PMP certification within 12 months of hire and OSHA 30 certification (company support available); USACE/NAVFAC QC Manager, PgMP, ITIL, Six Sigma are pluses.
- Proficiency with project management software, cost control tools, and advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel up to 35 % of time, including overnight trips.
